Local Mission Opportunities

St James Church is actively involved with numerous local mission organizations around our community in addition to our own local outreach events.

Here is a current list of local organizations with which we are involved.
Second Saturday at Asbury
Asbury's 2nd Saturday Volunteer Event is an easy, monthly way to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the Tulsa community. Simply arrive at 8 am with a heart to serve and bring your family, friends, co-workers or church group! With serving opportunities for any life stage or skill level, we'll provide the transportation and get you home by lunchtime.

Abundant Rain
Our local food bank is located at Abundant Rain Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. Since the start of our local feeding ministry in 2003 we have been able to provide meals in Coweta and the surrounding communities.  Through our local food bank in Coweta we are able to reach into the communities of Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Wagoner, Porter, Haskell, Boynton, and Wainwright. The food bank is open to the public every Tuesday and every second Saturday from 9am to 12pm. People in need of food are welcome to come during those times. Those that come to receive food will fill out a brief form with basic housing information. Then they will be able to collect the food allotment for that day. The information on the form is compiled with other data that is required by the state for us to continue receiving the food we donate. Our staff is willing and able to offer prayer and encouragement to those who need it.
